Visible but greyed out please. I prefer knowing that an action is possible and understanding that if it's greyed out that something about a current state prevents its use.

The context is the end users' UI experience. When a function is unavailable because of something the end user can control ie VM is started or Stopped. Should unavailable actions be hidden, or visible but greyed out ? My preference is for the latter, but I'd like to hear the users' and operators views. paul.an...@shapeblue.com https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fwww.shapeblue.com&c=E,1,mQ2vcmfh0QTHlz9HNhWDh_2UIRnwYxR3TTfg5eAcbYohJsrV6LMD1L43raSkqSBYk01d0yrCVws89yuY5BeHDEWhGWMHJNYC5SgNxycBG-QnLIZN&typo=1 Amadeus House, Floral Street, London WC2E 9DPUK @shapeblue
