Is it just me, or do others think that Cocoon is "under achieving" - there are numerous sessions on building web applications:
- with Struts
- with J2EE
- with CGI (!?)
- with Turbine
- with Tomcat (OK, for desktops apps)
But all the Cocoon sessions seem to be "introductory" (MO01,MO13,MO17) or very specialised (TU12,TU19A).
I am not saying Cocoon should be "competing" with those other frameworks, but the impression given to an outsider is that Cocoon is some small, new, "niche" type technology... and the "real" applications are or should be built with PHP or Struts.
I know this is not something we can do much about;
You can do a session on Cocoon on the next ApacheCon.
