Maybe try Betwixt
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/betwixt/
there is a betwixt block in the Cocoon bundle.

I thought about it, but I'm not sure how much it is
coupled to the display of the form. I don't have any
forms (or pages for that matter), just feeds.

I do like the idea of using Cocoon Forms as a sort of
an internal "web" service, since it will allow me to
validate the feed, but I don't know enough about them
to know if it is actually possible.

Hi,

I have a pipeline, which takes an external XML and
needs to validate it and write it to the database.

My

current thinking is as follows:

1. Generate XML
2. Convert to a collection of beans
3. Validate the beans.
4. Use Hibernate to write to the database.

I'm having problems figuring out #2. The only

thing I

was able to find which did the job was
CastorTransformer. However it requires setting
JAVA_OPTS under Tomcat, which I may not have

control

over.

Are there any other tools available?

Thanks,
-Alex
