Hi all,
I'm new to I18N and encoding. I've been given a Polish translation, which I can't read. My resultant HTML pages come out with a <meta> tag encoding of UTF-8, but the I18N samples have an encoding of ISO-8859-1. My page doesn't look right. So:
1) Can anyone tell me what a reasonable encoding for the below would be?
2) How do I define the encoding of a page within Cocoon? Does it
derive from the source files, the transformations, serialiser?
Encoding is defined in the serializer.
<map:serializer name="html"> ... <encoding>iso-8859-1</encoding> </map:serializer>
Now I've just got to work out how to build navigation between translations, get the site built by the CocoonTask, and, and...
Thanks for this. I feel a real newbie when it comes to I18N (that's what you get for being a native English speaker, I guess).
Regards, Upayavira
