It works, and has always worked. You need the official
release of Forrest (i.e. 0.5.1). Then you run 'build site'
from the cocoon top-level. This prepares some extra source
docs, like the jars.xml table, and then calls forrest.
This builds the set of static docs.

However, i think that Derek is talking about the docs
via the webapp (doing 'cocoon servlet'). Yes they still
have the very old presentation with the cumbersome navigation
image buttons and stuff. This is a big job to replace. There
are some old Wiki pages about it and no-one has managed to
take the job on yet. Instead it would probably be easiest to
use Forrest in webapp mode (suggest waiting until next release).
