Ended up using "WinHTTrack" which worked a treat - shame about not doing this 
in cocoon.
Is it really soooo difficult that cocooners prefer to use utilities like these?

You can't get more barebones than using wget [1] or a similar tool to
dump the pages of any web site to HTML. But of course it depends on
what exactly you need to achieve.
