Well, I'm a hobbyist who doesn't even own a MP machine, so of course I'll be happy to answer ;o) Matt is right in the middle of a major revision of the SMP parts of the kernel even as we speak [see other recent threads in this group]. My prediction: whatever the performance of recent DragonFly releases may be -- it's about to change again. Most likely for the better. But I could be wrong.
