My guess is that it's an older intel driver that happens to be getting installed. The most recent version of the intel driver, 2.8, is Linux-only, so I'm not sure how much luck you will have with any BSD.
http://pkgsrc.se/[email protected] You can try rebuilding x.org and its dependencies - this will take a while, and I'm not 100% sure that will help. pkg_rolling-release can do that for you, with a force option.
