The 1215N is too expensive. I paid this 1215p only 300 EUR in Italy, the 1215N is 499 EUR, and the only major difference is the NVidia Ion2.
I need the netbook only as a mobile system, so I don't want to spend a lot of money. Yesterday I installed ArchLinux on it, now I'm dual booting Arch and DragonFly. I'll wait for a driver or I'll try to port the driver in my spare time. 2011/9/29 robert_clark <[email protected]>: > Too late to take it back and get the 1215N? > Personally, I avoid the Intel graphics chip sets. > [RC] > > On Sep 28, 2011, at 05:56 AM, Paolo Paride Martino <[email protected]> > wrote: > > Hi folks, > > I just brought a Asus EEE PC 1215P. > I installed DF BSD, version 2.10.1, x86_64. > > I have a problem with the Intel graphics. > Using the "intel" driver in X.org couse a black screen, using the > "vesa" driver I'm stuck at 1024x768 instead of the native 1366x768. > > Someone know of the problem and have a solution? > > The netbook shipped with ubuntu and the graphics worked, I'm > downloading PCBSD 9 BETA 2 right now to check if with FreeBSD 9 works. > If don't I'll try OpenBSD, I read that they should have a working > driver. > > Bye, > Paride > -- Il reggiseno e’ uno strumento politico: separa la destra dalla sinistra, solleva le masse e attira i popoli.
