Question.. is it valid semantics to use WSRM and One Way messages?

Yes, as long the client-side is configured to use a non-anonymous decoupled
response endpoint.

If you're only sending oneways, this may seem a bit counter-intuitive ..
i.e. why do I need a decoupled repsonse endpoint if there are no responses,
surely the wsa:Reply would be set to none in that case?

The answer is that the decoupled endpoint is required to receive *deferred
acknowledgements*. So this endpoint is advertized via the wsrm:AcksTo as
opposed to the wsa:ReplyTo.

Well.. at least both my threads are about me being stupid about the same thing! Looking at the users guide (http://cwiki.apache.org/CXF20DOC/index.html) I do not see anything about decoupled endpoint. Do you have an example on the website?
