recently we upgraded from cxf-2.4.0 to cxf-2.4.2. just upgrade cost us 10X performance. we rolled back to cxf-2.4.0 and performance improved.interestingly, service calls weren't going through due to not rolling back transitive dependencies ( neethi-3.0.1 -> cxf-2.4.2 to neethi-3.0.0 -> cxf-2.4.0 and commons-pool-1.5.5 used by cxf-2.4.0 and not used by cxf-2.4.2 ).
