The problem is that these are all rpm files. I remember having seen
some documentation of how to install that in a debian system. Could
someone provide me with a pointer.
I come more and more to the conclusion that the culprit is the
unixodbc interface. However when I select the "proper mysql driver"
(in the interface section) things also do not work.
