Hi

I sent in between a bug report to debian, just to find out that this
has been known (but not solved) for a while.

The following link

http://dba.openoffice.org/howto/IgnoreDriverPrivileges.html

provides some macro based help. However I still have problems:

    - when inserting numbers, they all get a dollar sign in front
(independently whether I have selected decimal integer etc).

    - it seems that I cannot read my old mysql data base. That is
on a different PC over the years I have generated a mysql
database, I just tarred the mysql dict in /var/lib, and
unpacked it on the new machine, OO does not have acces to
that database. I remember that this worked with the old
odbc drivers. Can anybody comment on this?

Regards

Uwe
