Well the thing is it worked on my debian machine, after I de
installed and reinstalled mysql and the odbc backend that strange
message appeared. May be the debian team changed something in
the /etc/mysql/my.cnf file.
Now as root and normal user I obtain
the message
mysql -utest
ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' (Using password: NO)
Anyhow I try to sort that out myself before continuing the discussion
about the OO interface.
Thanks
Uwe
