tools>options>java Mine is Sun Microsystems Inc. 1.4.2_06. Make sure you have a jre installed and the 'Use a Java runtime environment' is checked. My jre on my SuSE 9.3 is under: /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.4.2-sun-1.4.2.06/jre OOo usually finds it automatically if it's installed.
