Or mysql maybe? Surely the best way is to choose: file>new>database>connect to existing database>database type>mysql>next>connect using JDBC connectivity>next>. . . What you are missing is that you chose jdbc as the database type when you have a mysql database type. Maybe you are in the wrong place.
