The form is of a type Table and don't forget, for a while it was working
beautifully.

Now that gives hope :-). Anyone out there who knows how to enable Filter by
Form.

Some additional information is that this problems applies to *all* my forms,
not just the one. To test this I created a brand new database, with brand
new content and a brand new form. Same problem :-)
