Hey, whein is the final release due? I really want to get paid. :-X

And, did they pay you? :)

Well, I don't have a check in my account - but they have signed off on the invoice - so now I just have to wait for AP to cut it..hmm..how come banks always seem to wait till the last possible day to pay their bills, there must be a lesson in that somewhere.

One note of interest - they have decided to not use OpenOffice and instead will be running under StarOffice8..so there you go 30 seconds of one developer's wages covered..hmm maybe. Turns out this was a call made not by the mortgage departmental IT staff, but by the legal 'Begals' at the bank's coporate HQ. However, I think the higher ups in the corporate IT group also liked the idea of having a company on the 'hook' for support, so to speak. Not sure if their in-house developers will be using this list or one at the Sun site for support, but they have the ball now.

Anyway, this will be my last email for a few months as I take a long desired extended vacation, celebrating half a century of life. Talk to you again next year, and I will; as OpenOffice ( or StarOffice ) is going to play heavily in my business plan for next year.

Andrew

ps. Turns out the small free application I wrote for a local substitue teacher has become a real hit in the county. As of yesterday I have supplied 7 more copies to other substitue teachers.
