Hello Hermann,

Hi
I tried to import a dbase-file into oOOdb. I followed the intructions by Regina
Henschel (thanks!).
But that instruction describes the import of a Calc-table, not of a
dBase-table. If you have got a dBase-table, you should not go the
roundabout way with a Calc-table, because you get the wrong headings in
the Calc-table.
If you have got a dBase-Table, then connect directly to it. That's the
third option in the New - Database - wizard step 1. You need not to
register that database. You will get a database file, which contains the
connection to the dBase-table.
Now work similarly to importing a Calc-table. Create a new embedded
HSQL-database (or use an existing one). In the dBase database file
window click on the tables-icon and then on the table, which you wont to
import to the embedded HSQL-database. Then you can drag&drop it to the
table-icon in the database file window of the embedded HSQL-database.
kind regards
Regina
