Hi Andrew,

Don't know if this will help but I thought I would confirm what you have
found.

In MS Access the field would contain #Name? which is a good indication to
the user that something is not working properly. The user also can not enter
anything into the field.

I can't say what the developers had in mind, but I agree with you an RFE
would be desirable. Just my two cents worth.
