Hi Ray,

Sorry, I was misleading in my wording. OOo comes with wizards (menu:
File/Wizards) where some are also written in Java. What I asked you to
test is whether those wizards work - i.e., whether other Java-dependent
components in OOo do work. The Fax and the Agenda wizard from the
mentioned menu are two of the Java ones, so if you can even only start
them, Java in general does work in OOo.

With "JDBC connection", do you mean a JDBC connection to a non-embedded
HSQL database?
With "JDBC connection test", do you refer to the "Test Connection"
button in the "Connection type" dialog, when you create a JDBC connection?

we are going to mix things up here ... The view problem is different
(and already explained by Andrew :), what I'd be interested in (here) is
your BeanShell problem. You said that somehow after using BeanShell, you
could not even connect to newly created HSQLDB databases - which is
independent from any content therein. Is my understanding here still
correct? /me is confused by the mixin here ...

Ciao
Frank
