Yes. In ODBC, this is known as "bookmarks" - a way to uniquely identify a row (at least within the lifetime of the resultset). The RowID in JDBC 4 somewhat extends this, but effectively, it would help - since the support of bookmarks is exactly what Base requires to bypass the primary key restriction.
