You certainly have an URL :), as that's the URL of the database file you
opened.
If your file is, say, in /foo/bar/database.odb, then the URL to enter in
line 5 is file:///foo/bar/database.odb.

No, no need to. registering only allows you to address databases with a
fixed location by a short name.

Which means you have a version < 1.8.0.5, which means OOo is using a
version *not* shipped with OOo, but present somewhere else in your system.
Did you try the CLASSPATH-thingie I mentioned in my previous mail?
