With "focus to the whole cell", I assume, you mean that the complete
content is selected.

Hmm. IIRC (not sure - this whole implementation is somewhat ... strange)
this at least partially depends on the selection in the previous editing
in this column. That is, assume you have a cell with some content, and
de-select everything. The travel with <TAB> until you reach the same
column in the next row. In this case, all the content will be
de-selected, too.
If, on the other hand, you select all content in the first cell,
everything will be selected in the second, too. Most of the time, that
is ...

It also depends on the lengths of the involved texts, and the field type.

In other words: There is no defined, consistent behaviour, it implicitly
depends on quite some other factors.
