Hi Mechtilde, > I use it for Calculation (in German: Buchhaltung) > so if i don't use a default value I must set "0" for an "empty" cell. > If I use a default value I must delete 0,00 € and set the new value. > this is very bad.
Well, I'd reserve "very bad" for some more serious issue ;), but I'd agree that is pretty inconvenient, at least. >> It also depends on the lengths of the involved texts, and the field type. > The field type is decimal (9,2) in most cells > >> In other words: There is no defined, consistent behaviour, it implicitly >> depends on quite some other factors. > > And there is nothing changeable? ;-) Sure. Depends on your budget for bribery ;). Just kidding, of course. In general: Yes, I'd like to fix that. No, I don't really like to touch the existing implementation, which is full of such weirdnesses, but re-implement it from scratch. Yes, I'd support every developer who's willing to have a look at this :) Ciao Frank -- - Frank Schönheit, Software Engineer [EMAIL PROTECTED] - - Sun Microsystems http://www.sun.com/staroffice - - OpenOffice.org Base http://dba.openoffice.org - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
