Hello Ocke,

In your earlier email you mentioned volunteering. Possibly rhetorical
to a certain degree. However, given two facts and two opinions it
strikes me that I should not treat it as such.

Facts are - the effort to setup a build environment for the full OOo
packge and the information I have read about the time it takes to run
on most PCs has lead me to avoid doing so - quite successfully I might
add.

Opinion one - I can't see actually trying to do any maintenance on
code, that has to be added into a larger base particularly, when I am
not willing to test it - so no build environment, no way to test.

Fact two - I do have all the tools up and running to compile the
report.jar file from these sources now. So that is the end of my easy
out excuse that I am not setup to help.

Opinion two - The report wizard has a place and the real developers
are better utilized working with the new report designer.

So - My first question is very general.

I will be using JDK 1.0.6 and NetBeans 5.5 to build the report.jar file.

Would you think it reasonable to only be building this one file with
these tools before offering any code changes, from a testing
perspective? Or would you think it really needs to be a full build of
the total package? Understanding that this places certain limits.
