Well, maybe. It is also important that other groups, individuals start
working with the module and with doing things on there own. Not
everything has to run through OO.org, nor is it necessarily healthy if
it does. Then there is the issue of commercial applications based on
OO.org - not sure the systems inside OO.org are really gong to be
setup to support that. But perhaps, if it is just a link to a site.

Anyway, I updated the page with a link to the Firebird - Jaybird wiki
page dealing with OO.org connectivity issues.

Also, didn't I see something a few months back about someone working
on an Apache Derby driver. Anyone heard anything about that, is there
some place to get some information on that?
