Hi Drew,
Got an email from Paolo - The wiki looks like a formal place that should
not be updated by mere users...
Is it a Bazaar or a Cathedral? That is the question inside the
community of late isn't it. So far, IMO, the guys in the black robes are
winning. So sad.
Are they? Are we still talking about Wiki editing? If so, I would love
Wikis to be a Bazaar. This doesn't mean we shouldn't have regulators, of
course, but it still should be a Bazaar.
That said, I am not sure I understand the problem here ...
Ciao

Nope that line had nothing to do with the wiki...a combination of
reading articles and some recent personal experience...I just had to say
it somewhere...so that is done, and it is out of my system.
By the way I am updating the functions detail page now - just the basic
tables for
Name - Description - Examples..
Something to start with.
Trying to use the media wiki export for the tables - under the Dev build
it doesn't seem to work - I thought it did under the 2.3 stable so, I;ll
go back and try that. If not, then I know the free addon worked. I'll be
hoping that the new extension will be a big step up..sounds like it will.
Speaking of OT issues - I spent about 40 minutes working with the
database AroundWorld.odb, attached to a recent Issue ( number escapes
me) that deals with performance. I have some thoughts on what I think is
happening - I suppose I should just add those to the Issue. But, I also
have been pouring over the jdbc logs and I have some questions. I
suppose those go on the dev list, right?
