Hello everybody! In earlier versions (pre 2.2) of OOo Base, date/time fields were filled with today's date by default. I made heavy use of this feature in a small database application that I developed. The date fields are situated in a table-style subform that is embedded into a parent form (kind of "log" entries embedded into client records).
As of OOo 2.2, this neat feature got removed... I have to enter the date manually now for every single entry, which is not really convenient. Unfortunately, I am not firm in OOo Basic. Is somebody aware of a nice macro that would bring the "default = today" feature back? There is a macro snippet available at the OpenOffice site that cleans the date field in new records - maybe this could be adjusted to bring back the date (but how?): http://codesnippets.services.openoffice.org/Database/Database.EmptyDateField.snip Any help is greatly appreciated.
