Hello everybody!
As of OOo 2.2, this neat feature got removed... I have to enter the date
manually now for every single entry, which is not really convenient.
Unfortunately, I am not firm in OOo Basic. Is somebody aware of a nice
macro that would bring the "default = today" feature back?
There is a macro snippet available at the OpenOffice site that cleans the
date field in new records - maybe this could be adjusted to bring back the
date (but how?):

Hi Tobias,
Quick question.
Do you need the date to show on the forum as soon as you enter a new
record, before you actually save it?
It makes a difference on how you set this up.
Thanks
Drew
ps - I never spoke to the man before...OK... ( Tobias, this is an aside
to an earlier conversation..nothing to do with you )
