Drew's answer was good. i was able to "add" a field (column) and
edit the first column of the same name and it has worked so far. Now
if i just find the correct formula to stick in there which will
display the patient's age in years and months, we'll be home free!
Have a great evening! :) Thanks Drew! and all the others who
helped as well!
The questions are getting easier Familia...old post on oooforum on that.
You can get the example database that went with it at
http://www.paintedfrogceramics.com/OpenOffice/MedRecords.odb
There is a single query in the file that displays a patient's ages
from days through years. ( pediatrics through geriatrics if you like )
There is a form in that file also to show how to do the calculation in
Basic instead of SQL, but the basic macro isn't in the forum, was
listed in the forum post. If that interests you let me know - I think
it might be worth putting this up, with a fresh post at the new forum.
Drew
Well - went back and looked at that old thread from 2005 ... hmm..
Sorry September was a bad time for me on keeping up at the OOoOforum.org
site...
