So if you are not willing to stay compatible with versions older than
2.0.4, you can go ahead... (wasn't Base introduced in 2.0.0? also due
to it's nature, most Base users keep their OOo version up-to-date)
2.0.4 is plenty far enough back...although honestly there may be other
reasons to make it for 2.4 and higher.
So - off to wrap up some other things first.
Then to get my feet wet - first a little component using the JPS API in
Java to return the list of installed printers for use in any OOoBasic
script. The only UI to worry about for that will be an exposed method.
I think what I'll do is use the exercise as a basis for series of posts
at the forum as I bumble my way through that task...Maybe I'll call it -
"Teaching an old dog a new trick"
