The "only" (though severe enough) known issue with backup/restore of database documents is that forms and reports are not properly recovered, but instead restored as top-level documents. This is issue 65597, and unless the framework team provides us with a more general crash recovery implementation (which respects the concepts of sub documents), this will not change. Do you know more problems? In particular, is the ODB document itself recovered properly (it in fact should, but it's a while ago I tried ...)
