Seems you have already done this for me...thanks.
The problem is that OOo 2.4.x thinks the text is hidden. It
misinterprets the text:display attribute in the content.xml.

One final tid bit, one application that does open that file w/out a
problem or even a complaint....IBM Lotus Symphony 1.2.0
