yes, you are right, it's the same as 105235. I'll be happy to get it
fixed in 3.2, of course. Should I add a request to the issue itself? Or
there is a different procedure for this?

But, if the record in main form has no previous entries, when you set
focus inside a subform field, it happen that:
1. no default values turn visible
2. if you try to manually fill in a field settled with a default
value, your typing disappear when the field looses focus
3. a numeric (or currency) field without default value is
automatically filled in with 0 when receiving focus
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what you meanwhile submitted as
issue 105235, right?
If you want to lobby for this being fixed in 3.2 (it's currently fixed
in a 3.3-targeted CWS) - go ahead, there has been a request in
relea...@ooo already, but no answer so far. I think the issue could use
some lobbying there ... I cannot simply commit the fix to a 3.2-CWS
without approval, but in this particular case, I think support from
real-world users like you is better than /me saying "Yes, we should have
that in 3.2." ...
