Hi Marcus, > please can you point me to the place where you have seen that the > extension is for OpenOffice.org only? > > On the following website it is (IMHO) clearly marked for OOo and StarOffice: > > http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/mysql_connector
I don't think that Larry meant to say that the extension was somewhere in the web advertised as being for OpenOffice.org only. But technically, an extension comes with embedded information about the minimum/maximum program version it is intended for. And this information is not branded, that is, the extension claims to be for "OpenOffice.org 3.1". Our extension framework sadly does not "brand" this before showing it to the user, so no matter whether you install the extension in StarOffice or StarSuite or BrOffice or OpenOffice.org - if it's the wrong version, you'll get an error message saying the "OpenOffice.org 3.1" is required. Not sure whether there already exists an issue for this.
