I'm using latest version of Pktgen cloned on 24th July 2018 via:

git clone git://dpdk.org/apps/pktgen-dpdk

My python version is 2.7.12
I upgraded to 2.7.15 but observed the same errors.

RTE_SDK and RTE_TARGET environment variables are set as explained on
http://pktgen-dpdk.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting_started.html
