Probably most people have forgotten about the 3.7 "mini-roadmap" by now, but it's still being worked on:

If somebody who is working an incompletely task wants to talk about the progress they've made, I'm sure we'd love to hear about it. I'm slowly adding tasks to the list when somebody makes a comment on users@ or IRC. In fact, the recent "daemon" update was spawned from an IRC comment (pun intended). So users do have some influence on getting (bite-size) features in the next release. John
