It is said that FreeBSD tends to use the first video card (Intel in case of "Optimus" systems) and ignore the second one (NVidia), so the users have to edit Xorg configuration to use second video card. It is also said that bootloader is only capable of using the first one. So most likely the question of video cards in this particular case boils down to amount of support for Intel card. -- Dmitrij D. Czarkoff
