Well I haven't checked, but I doubt that this would require core modifications, cause IntelliJ is built up very modular. I would be really surprised if this wasn't possible to be fixed in the plugin.
Currently I have my plate really full of work with the next FlexJS release and some work on BlazeDS Spring-Boot-Support, but feel free to dig in there yourself. I remember fixing some minor issues in the Flexmojos support last year and it wasn't difficult to get the changes in.
