The place to take this idea can be here. Here are a lot of users who can
share their thought about it, here is what i think about it:

Something like this is already available in Windows7 by default.
When clicking the start button (or CTRL+ESC) this field is active by
default.

I dont know about Mac, and UI of Linux, because:
- I dont have a Mac
- UI of Linux looks too often too simmilar to last Windows version.
- I almost never use a UI on Linux.
