Hi :) If you have a spare 15Gb to put another partition on a hard-drive (or something) then why not install another copy of Ubuntu to use as a beta-testing area? Most distros are happy with a LOT less but Ubuntu is more comfortable with about that much space. Then you can beta test a lot of other programs while still being able to boot into a stable version when you need to. It is also useful if you need to try out other distros or newer releases of Ubuntu when they happen. Linux installers cleverly sort the dual/multi-boot thng out for you but feel free to contact me offlist if you want tips or a walk-through.
