There is a difference in the way these two handle linked cells. If you have a cell linked to another spreadsheet in OpenOffice then if you open it in LibreOffice the value is not automatically updated if it changes/or has changed in the spreadsheet it is linked to. LibreOffice seems to only 'remember' the old value even if you relink the cell.
