Hi Tom,

Yes I had the OO as copy/paste between sheets and that is all I had to
do to get them updating correctly. When I tried same with say from a OO
sheet to a new LO sheet then the LO sheet would not update whenever the
OO sheet changed so I had to go back to all the OO sheets and "convert"
them to LO. However even then the LO sheet/s would not update correctly...

Now there are several instances in LO re Updating linked Cells:

In Options-General I have Update Links When Opening set to Always
In the Sheet I have Tools-Cell Contents set to Autocalculate

In the Help doc (under Updates, links on opening) it also says one can
use Edit-Links...
This also mentions DDE links and using Copy/Paste Special and setting
the Link option.
I am not sure about this as it mentions it is relative to text data and
losing decimals etc. and if you use this on a cell you get a linked
address to the cell it is linked from which has different address (extra
DDE info) than if you just use Copy/Paste.

Hope that is all clear!

I think the Help doc could use some clarification.
