Hi :) Virus scanning is a bit pointless in linux but it is a good for scanning Windows partitions or over the network, or from a LiveCd/Usb (=bootable Cd/Usb). Trinity Rescue Kit has a good LiveCd for this and other Windows problems. The bootable Cd boots straight into a very simple menu with options at the top for anti-virus scanning (it downloads definitions into ram when you select this option). http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=trinity
