Just don't try to install it as it won't install due to the (U)LO menus
already in place. Instead, after you've installed LO .deb create your
own menu to that version of LO located in /opt.
Right-click Applications. Select Edit Menus. Scroll down to Office and
click 'New Item'. Give the menu item a name ('LO /opt' or something that
will remind you which version you are using. Add a comment for the same.
In the 'Command' section click 'Browse' and click on 'File System' and
browse to /opt/libreoffice/program and double-click on 'soffice' (not
soffice.bin). Now add an icon for the menu; click on the the springboard
icon and browse to /usr/share/icons/gnome/48x84/apps and select
libreoffice-startcenter.png & off you go.
Now: Applications|Office|LO /opt (or whatever you chose to use) and that
will open up the /opt version of LO. You can then also open the (U)LO
version as well from the Applications|Office| menus as well.
