There is a bug filed on this for OOo. It has
|supposedly been fixed for OOo 3.4. It still occurs
in OOo-dev 3.4.0

Same problem in LibreOffice 3.4.0 OOO340m1

Thanks for the bug pointers. So I was correct in that version 3.1
worked fine, and 3.2 and 3.3 have the problem.
