I had tried that over the weekend, with no success. Currently I am able to edit/open Writer/Calc files by using OpenOffice I have "uninstalled" 3.4.0, cleaned up any/all deleted files, reloaded/installed 3.4.0 and still get the "untitled 1" document recovery as described.
