Why not install Virtual PC? I have a client who had to do this and it works very well.
You have found one of the major deficiency of Microsloth Winblows. I use Lotus Wordpro for 99% of my word processing, saving OpenOffice/LibreOffice for basic documents of less than 5 pages. Of course, since I use eCS (otherwise known as OS/2) I have no problem with my WordPro documents. On those occasions when I must use Windows it is XP.
