I can't remember why but previously I had to set the form "type of submission" to "post." I was using a listbox then and had the problems identified earlier in this thread (clunky - but it did work). Changing to a text box, adding a save button and making the form submission type "get" is exactly what I was looking for. Yes, by the by, the base tutorial taught me to pay attention to the form navigator. I've got another question -harder this time- but will create a new thread which may help posterity.
